Melbourne overflows with respect for the written word, but events celebrating oral storytelling are far less common. Bazaar Tales, where contributors tell short, on-theme stories for an audience, is a recent addition to the storytelling scene. Meaghan Dew went along to Horse Bazaar to find out what drives people to tell often personal tales in public, and what can turn past events into an engaging spoken story.
