As a result I went out and bought 'What Came Between'. I can highly recommend it - the prose is beautifully wrought, and the emotional tension builds to a satisfying crescendo. Patrick's one of a few very talented voices to come out of Australian literature in the last few years, demonstrating how strong Aus lit is at the moment. Great interview. I read 'Kieslowski’s Unlikely Comedy' in Sleepers and found it an intriguing form of half-fiction, certainly something I hadn't encountered before. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of KYD to read some more.
